Are you suffering from a lack in an area of life? Has life left you wanting? Are you finding no matter how hard you try there simply isn't enough?
Friend, the world is fallen, and because it is corrupted at its core there is a spirit of scarcity.
Most of us grew up hearing there isn't enough, and many of us have experienced tangibly the effects of not having enough. I am tender to this because we lost our home when my husband was ill and when you don't know where you will stay, it is scary. This time was painful on so many levels, watching dreams, and hopes be washed away. So my heart is in this message. It has taken time to allow Jesus to heal the loss, and begin to hope again that one day He would redeem even this.
But what I continue to experience is His sweetness, kindness, faithful love for us. He has used what the enemy meant for evil as a time to uproot the lies implanted by the world through cleansing of His word and His presence. He continues to show up in the most miraculous ways in this adventure of faith, solidifying the truth: Jesus is enough.
I have found that the spirit of scarcity causes us to fear and hold tightly to whatever we do have. But Jesus offers us a better way, the Way by letting go and let Him be everything. I realize most of us know Jesus as Savior; however, we have yet to embrace Him as Shepherd. I want to encourage you to seek refuge in the pasture of our Good Shepherd, who has suffered ALL, so we lack nothing.

I believe this is important because one of God's sweetest characteristics is His role as our Shepherd. This is woven throughout the Biblical narrative; therefore, it behooves us to study, meditate on, and know Him as the Shepherd.
When we take our place under His wings, we discover we have all we could ever desire or need.
I exhort you to read God's word, soak in God's character, and allow Him to rest, refresh, and restore everything through the revelation of His love.
There are many amazing verses on the Good Shepherd; today I'm sharing a few of mine and would love to know yours in the comments👇🏾
❦
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”
Psalm 23:1.
❦
“He will tend his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms; he will carry them in his bosom, and gently lead those that are with young.” Isaiah 40:11.
❦
“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11.
❦
“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21.
❦
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”
1 Peter 2:24-25.
❣️
The word ‘returned’ in 1 Peter 2:25 is in the passive tense, not the active, friends. It's all about Jesus, the finished work of Jesus. Look at what God has done. We couldn’t return, so He came and saved us🙌🏾
❦
“And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” 1 Peter 5:4.
❦
“For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:17.
We have always been and will always be benefactors of His tender mercies and grace. Remember, you are Kept. Held. Loved.
