Seasons & Glory
God of All Seasons… The Whole Earth Will Be Filled with Your Glory.
“He has filled the hungry with good things…”Luke 1:53.
God of all seasons, how blessed we are that You enter each one with us.
❧
Spring…
You are beautiful to bring the first fruits, fragrant hints of the bounty to come, tender proofs that nothing sown in faith is ever wasted. Let us marvel at the One who fills every emptiness with Himself.
“And his mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm…” Luke 1:50–51.
❧
Summer…
Glistens with the abundance of Your goodness; days stretched long, drenched in light, strength renewed, and promises ripened under the warmth of Your unwavering love. Let us behold the One whose mercies are endless and whose strength sustains His beloved.
“For He who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is His name.” Luke 1:49.
❧
Fall…
The harvest always pointing to Your faithfulness, how You complete every work You begin, how You gather what You planted, how You turn human toil into testimony of Your grace. Let us lift our voices in worship to the One whose holiness crowns every He touches.
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” Luke 1:46–47.
❧
And Winter… the season with the breath of wonder, wrapped in stillness, softened by quiet, that beckons my soul to deeper rest enjoying the hidden work of grace.
Abba, Your countenance is our very delight, the warmth of Your presence in every season almost too much for words.
Now, in the holy hush of Advent, our hearts draws near. We are expectant of roots growing deep into the soil of the Son, while the Spirit works gently and powerfully within.
In You, silence is not absence, delay is not denial, and stillness is not stagnation; it is sacred preparation for the Wonder of Christ and His fullness being unveiled.
May every longing bow low and every heart lift high for the God of all seasons is also the God who draws near and whispers: Immanuel.
❧
Winter’s veil reminds us…
just as Mary carried the Savior in her womb,
we too carry His Kingdom—
we bear the beauty of Christ by faith,
we cradle His promises through the Spirit,
and we let the life of Jesus grow in the hidden places until His glory is revealed through every facet of our lives.
❧
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14.

Love that you framed your seasons with excerpts from Mary’s song, the Magnificat. Such a beautiful, triumphant and hope filled passage! Many years ago, while I was in Air Force pilot training, my wife and I joined the choir for Christmas at a local church. The Christmas program included the Magnificat put to music. Something captivated me, and I photo copied the verses from my Bible, covered it with plastic and carried it with me until I had memorized it. I still have the copy (and it’s still in my head), transcending the passing of time and seasons, it still resonates (Glory!) in my heart!
Andrea, there's something very compelling about your year in review. The seasons keep on coming and going like clockwork, don't they.
Advent blessings to you and yours . . .
